Two more visits for Eggleston

The recruiting process is beginning to heat up for Jack Eggleston, the 6-foot-8, 210-pound power forward from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Eggleston took one official visit in September and, at this time, has two official visits scheduled for October.
"My official visit to American was great," said Eggleston. "I really enjoyed everything about it, I had a great host and the coaching staff was absolutely great. On Saturday afternoon, we hung out with a bunch of little kids, which was an unbelievable experience. We played basketball and flag football with the kids, which allowed me to get closer look at what the American basketball program is all about.

"I was supposed to officially visit Lafayette on October 16, but I've had to move the visit back a week because I am taking the SAT II test on October 14," he added. "It's basically an hour long test in mathematics, chemistry and literature. The Ivy League requires that you take the test, and the same goes for American."
Eggleston will take one final official visit before making a decision about his future. The possibility exists that the talented power forward could take an additional visit, but at this time, it looks as if American, Lafayette and Pennsylvania are the teams to beat.
"I am taking an official visit to Pennsylvania a week after my visit to Lafayette," he said. "The new coaching staff found some film that I had sent the old coaching staff, and they liked what they saw. Pennsylvania is coming down next Tuesday to watch me workout in the gym.
"I've already had an in-home visit with American," he added. "I believe that visit took place on September 10. The coaching staff from Lafayette came to my school to meet with my parents and me. I guess you could say that the in-home visit really happened at school."
