Two leaders for Harvey

Eugene Harvey, the 6-foot-0, 165-pound point guard from St. Benedict's Prep School in Newark, N.J., is looking forward to taking some official visits once school gets started in a few weeks. Harvey indicated that two schools have emerged as the teams to beat in his recruitment.
"Connecticut, Maryland, Mississippi State, Florida State, Pittsburgh and Virginia are the schools that I have talked to this month," said Harvey. "I am also interested in Miami-Florida. I have been talking to my father about setting up some official visits after schools starts. We have not set anything up yet, but I do know some of the schools that I want to visit.

"Maryland and Connecticut are my leaders right now," he added. "Those two schools are right at the top of my list. Pittsburgh is another school that I really like, but Maryland and Connecticut are the leaders."
Harvey, the three-star point guard from New Jersey, stated that he plans to take all five official visits in the fall. However, he also made it perfectly clear that he will more than likely make his decision during the late signing period.
"Connecticut, Maryland, Florida State and Mississippi State are the schools that I want to visit," said Harvey. "I do want to use all five official visits before I decide on a school. Pittsburgh is another school that I have an interest in visiting.
"I don't plan to make a decision until the late period," he added. "I want to take some visits and then make a decision after that. I just don't see myself signing during the early period. I don't think that I will be ready to decide then, so I will probably sign late."
Aside from the aforementioned programs, Harvey is also receiving some interest from the likes of Louisville, Florida, Rutgers and several others.
