Sean Singletary, a 5-foot-11, 170-pound point guard from Penn Charter High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is ready to take a step forward in his recruitment. Two schools from his list have emerged as the overall favorites and he plans to visit one of those schools within the next two weeks.

Singletary is considered as one of the top overall players in the class of 2004. RivalsHoops.com ranked him as the second best point guard in the class and the 11th best player overall.
Many of the nation’s top programs are recruiting the talented floor general, but two schools have emerged as his leader.
"Kansas and Virginia are my leaders at this time,” Singletary told RivalsHoops.com. “I plan on taking a visit to one of those schools within the next two weeks, but I haven’t decided what school I will visit.”
“I should have a decision about the visit by the end of the week,” he added. “I’m also considering Ohio State, Rutgers and Indiana, but Kansas and Virginia are definitely my favorite schools.”
Singletary spent the weekend participating in the Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions, but was not particularly happy with his performance.
“I injured my shoulder two years ago in a football game and injured it again this year during another football game,” he said. “I just didn’t give the injury enough time to heal. I might skip the Pangos tournament that I am scheduled to attend, but I do not plan on missing any other events.
“My performance at the Tournament of Champions wasn’t all bad,” he added. “I scored 31 points one game and hit seven three pointers.”
Singletary told RivalsHoops.com that he would inform us when he makes a decision about what school he will visit.
