Two Freshmen Headline Northeastern JC Roster

Northeastern J.C. in Sterling, Colo., has produced a steady flow of Division I talent under the leadership of long-time Head Coach Lowell Roumph, and the Plainsmen once again could have two of the better freshmen in Region IX this winter.
The two freshmen -- guard/swingman Jon Wilkins and power forward Mike McCowan --could be the latest in a line of Division I prospects to come out of Colorado two-year school.

A native of Chandler, Ariz., Wilkins is a 6-5, 210 pound swingman who gained some notoriety on the summer circuit over the past few years with Art Dye's Arizona Stars program.
McCowan, a rugged 6-8, 235 pound power forward, is a native of Oklahoma City, Okla.
JUCO Junction hopes to catch both players in action this season, so stay tuned to the website for more information as the junior college season gets underway next month.
