Two favorites for McCamey

With size and the ability to score and distribute, 2007 prospect Demetri McCamey is a coveted prospect. The 6-foot-4, 190-pound combo guard for 17-1 St. Joseph's High School in Westchester, Ill., has a number of schools in his recruiting mix, but two of those schools stand above the others at this point.
Virginia was in the stands checking out McCamey's latest outing where he scored 25 points and had 6 assists to only 2 turnover in a two point win. McCamey also noted that Illinois, Michigan State, Connecticut, Kentucky, Wake Forest, Villanova, Clemson and Miami have all been in touch lately.

Although he admits it will be a very difficult Decision, McCamey, the No. 92 ranked prospect in the class of 2007, has two schools on the top of his list.
"Right now Wake Forest and Michigan State are my two favorites," said McCamey. "I love their up tempo styles and how I could fit into that scenario. I do most of my damage in transition. They both need a point guard to come in and play right away, also.
Both Wake Forest and Michigan State have offered McCamey along with DePaul and Purdue. McCamey also feels that an offer from Virginia is coming soon.
Averaging 16 points, 7 assists, 4.5 rebounds and only 2 turnovers per game, McCamey is in no rush to make a decision. A 3.0 student, McCamey will take one of the college prep tests in April and then visit some schools this spring. He does not plan to choose a school until after the summer.
He will run with the Illinois Wolves on the circuit.
