Two Big East Offers for Bynum

6-foot-11 center Lee Bynum holds down the middle for the New Jersey All Stars. Bynum, who plays high school ball at St. Josephs in Metuchn, New Jersey has a list of five high majors, and two of those schools have offered.
"My top five are Wake Forest, Duke, North Carolina, Rutgers and Georgetown,” said Bynum. “Rutgers and Georgetown have both offered. The others have called and expressed a great deal of interest."

Bynum had these thoughts on his top five schools.
On Wake Forest: "Tim Duncan is my favorite player, and I like the warm environment."
On North Carolina: "I love the tradition that Carolina has. Also, that's where Jordan went to school."
On Duke: "Coach K is one of the greatest coaches ever. I know I could learn a lot playing for him."
On Rutgers: "I like Coach Waters. He's a good coach and has the program headed in the right direction. If I stay close to home, that's where Ill go."
On Georgetown: "It's big man University. They put all of their big men in the pros."
When it comes time to make a college choice, two factors will stand out the most for Bynum.
"I want to go somewhere I can get a great education and have a chance to win a National Championship," he said.
In the meantime, Bynum, who averaged 17 points and 13 rebounds per game last season, is working on increasing his athleticism and his shooting range.
"I’m working on my explosion,” he said. “I don't want anybody to be able to stop me once I get the ball in the paint. I’m also working on my range and hitting the weights hard. My bench press has increased 40 pounds this year."
