Turner Closing Down His Process Soon

Sources indicate that Larry Turner, a 6-10, 225-pound center/power forward from Bridgton Academy in Maine, will take his next official visit to Connecticut next Monday. Sources also indicate that Turner could be joined by his mother too on the trip.
Turner did finish up his official visit to the campus of Indiana. Sources tell us the trip went well and that Turner did give the indication to the Indiana staff that he was seriously considering committing to them after he concludes his visit.

RivalsHoops.com reported two weeks ago that Indiana head coach Mike Davis had spoken to Bridgton Academy head coach Whit Lesure. Davis moved quickly to convince Turner to take an official visit.
Alabama has dropped out while Turner's visit to Oklahoma went well. The Sooners also have an excellent chance with Turner. There have been other schools inquiring about Turner too. Ohio State has also called but our Big Ten sources tell us now that the Buckeyes have decided not to pursue Turner.
Turner was recently rejected by the Georgia admissions office, opening up his recruiting process. Since he was rejected admission wise, he is eligible to play this winter for any division one program. Turner's coach, Whit Lesure at Bridgton Academy, has been adamant about Larry's character and credibility.
"He was a very good student/athlete for us," Lesure said. "All I can tell you is what I know with my experience with Larry. And it was a great experience to know him and work with him as a student and as an athlete."
