Tulane Gets All-State Center

Quincy Davis, a 6-9, 215 pound post player from McGill-Toolen High School in Mobile, AL, is headed to Tulane.
Davis earned first team All-State honors following his senior season in which he averaged 18 points, 11 rebounds and 5.5 blocked shots per game in Division 6A, Alabama's largest schools. He also was the runner-up for the Class 6A Player of the Year, was honored as an all-county selection and was named to the "Sweet 16" by The Mobile Register. Davis was selected to play in the Alabama's Rising Senior North-South All-Star Game.

The Green Wave's second-year head coach Shawn Finney said, "Quincy is a versatile, quick and athletic big man, and he is very, very long. He gives us added depth at the post. I see him contributing right away and having a positive impact on our program."
His high school coach Reggie Copeland said, "He's an infant in basketball; he did not play until junior high, but he has really come a long way in a short period of time and he has a huge upward curve."
Tulane, which graduates just one player, signed combo forward Derek Burditt from West Jefferson High School in Gretna, LA, during the November NLI signing period.
