Tucker Talks About His Decision

Undersized warrior Anthony Tucker from Enloe H.S. in Raleigh, N.C. told us last night that he chose Texas because the Longhorns have the whole package. "There wasn't anything bad about it," Tucker said. "I liked everything about the school. I love coach Barnes. I enjoyed being around the players. And what a great atmosphere they have there."
Tucker shined while playing with the North Carolina Gaters this past spring and summer. A burly 6-5, 240 pound power forward, Tucker had also seriously considered Clemson and West Virginia.

While he is most effective playing the four position, Enloe H.S. will gain the services of a big man transfer this winter. As a result, Tucker is hoping to play some three this season at Enloe. "Texas plans to use me at the 2, 3, and 4 positions," Tucker said.
Last season at Enloe, Tucker averaged 25 points, 17 rebounds and three blocks per game. "It was a great trip," Tucker said. "I am real excited about playing for Texas."
