Tucker affirms DePaul commitment

Rumors have been circulating that recent DePaul commitment Darquavis Tucker is on the verge of backing out of his verbal pledge. Tucker, of Arthur Hill High School in Saginaw, Mich., spoke with Rivals.com about the situation.
"No, there is nothing to that," said Tucker when asked about the decommitment rumors. "I'm good to go with DePaul."

Leading up to his visit to DePaul, Tucker had the Blue Demons listed behind Indiana and Illinois. However, the city of Chicago won him over.
"DePaul has a great coach in Coach Wainwright, but Chicago is a big reason for my decision," he said. "I love the energy of the city, and it's on of the most televised cities in the country. There is great exposure in playing there."
Tucker, a 6-foot-4, 190-pound shooting guard, is the No. 22 ranked prospect in the Rivals150. He and the No. 26 ranked prospect in the Rivals150 Nayal Koshwal committed on successive days last week.
Darquavis Tucker scouting report:
A very athletic wing player, Tucker excels at using either hand to finish in the lane. Runs the floor and rebounds extremely well. As he is making the transition from an interior player to a perimeter player, the left handed Tucker has made great strides in his outside shooting and passing. His ball handling is the area that still needs the most work.
