Truesdale Will Sign Late

David Truesdale, a 6-3, 190 pound shooting guard from Dodge City C.C. in Dodge City, Kan., has decided to sign late.
Rivalshoops.com caught up with Dodge City Head Coach Brian Hoberecht on Thursday, and he brought us up to speed with the latest happenings in Truesdale's recruitment.

Truesdale, who gave a midsummer commitment to the College of Charleston only to later rescind it, took fall trips to UNC-Wilmington (Sept. 20-22) and New Mexico (Oct. 11-13). Tulsa, Baylor and Winthrop were also heavily pursuing the talented off guard this fall.
"David has decided at this point in time that he is going to sign late," Hoberecht said. "Because of that, New Mexico and Charleston have both dropped out, and neither one of them are going to keep recruiting him."
"So it's Wilmington and Baylor, and whoever else gets involved between now and the end of the year," the coach concluded. "He just decided that he wasn't ready to make a decision right now."
Truesdale was one of the better freshmen a year ago in the rugged Jayhawk West Conference, where he averaged 13 points and five rebounds per contest. He is a native of Charlotte, N.C., and a product of Garinger H.S.
"David is an explosive shooting guard who defends extremely well," Hoberecht said.
Rivalshoops.com plans on catching Truesdale and his Dodge City squad in action later this winter, so we will keep you posted on his situation in the months to come.
