Troy Aaron up to six offers

Point guard prospect Troy Aaron from St. Louis Catholic High School in Lake Charles (LA) currently has six scholarship offers and with the beginning of his in-home visits is in the process of narrowing his list down.
“Tulane, Louisiana Tech, Houston, West Virginia, McNeese State, and DePaul have all offered,” he said. “The recruiting process is heating up for me. I’ve got schools coming in starting next week for in-homes and I have taken one official visits and will take another this week.”

McNeese State was the first school to receive an official visit form Aaron, 6-foot-1, 175-pounds, and they have emerged as one of his favorites.
“McNeese is right up the road from me. In fact it’s in my hometown so I was already somewhat familiar with the school and campus,” Aaron said. “I really like the Coach (Tic) Price and the whole staff. Also I am a friend of the players. Right now they are seriously being considered because I am leaning to staying close to home.”
Tulane is scheduled to receive a visit this weekend and Aaron indicated that he is excited about the upcoming trip.
“I went to Tulane this summer and talked to the coaches but I didn’t get a chance to tour the whole campus and I’m really looking forward to the visit,” he said. “Tulane has probably recruited me the hardest and I believe they are a program that is on the rise and I would like to be part of that.”
Although Arkansas and Miami have not offered they have shown interest in the versatile point guard and they round out Aaron’s list of favorites.
“Arkansas and Miami are showing a lot of interest. I’ve talked to the coaching staff and I have received a lot of stuff from them in the mail,” Aaron said. “I hope to visit them both and would wait before I commit if it looks like they will offer.”
Last year Aaron averaged 24 points and eight assists per contest. With a 3.02 core GPA and a 20 ACT score he will be fully qualified.
