Trojans land four-star Watkins

Growing up in Compton, Calif., Dominguez High School shooting guard Quinton Watkins always admired the USC Trojan program. Last night Watkins, 6-foot-3, 175-pounds, committed to the Pac-10 school.
"I've always liked the program growing up," said Watkins, the No. 45 ranked prospect in the class of 2007. "I like Coach Floyd and the things he said about turning around the program."

A physical and athletic guard who can defend multiple positions and rebounds very well as a perimeter player, Watkins is also becoming more and more skilled with the ball.
"I can bring a lot of intensity on the defensive end to USC," he said. "I feel I can guard the best player night in and night out."
Watkins also considered UCLA, Oklahoma State, Washington, Oregon and Kentucky.
