Trojans land another elite prospect

Must be the O.J. Mayo effect. USC is on a roll as the Trojans land the No. 7 ranked point guard out of the 2008 class right after securing the No. 2 ranked 2007 recruiting class.
Sources close to the recruitment of Brandon Jennings have confirmed that the 6-foot, 170-pound playmaker has committed to the Trojans.

A native of Los Angeles, Jennings transferred to powerhouse Oak Hill Academy this year and is off to a terrific season. Jennings also had a spectacular summer circuit as he ran the point for the ultra-successful SoCal All Stars.
Jennings is expected to take over the point guard position for USC during the 2008-2009 season as Mayo is considered a one-and-done player at USC before entering the NBA draft.
Brandon Jennings scouting report:
A jet with the ball, Jennings is the type of point guard who ignites an offense. The lefty can get into the lane and finish as well as set up shooters with his penetrating ability. A high degree of difficulty type player, Jennings actually shoots the contested shot better than the open shot. A pesky defender in the open court when he puts his mind to it, he will need to develop more strength to defend better in the half court.
