Trip Was Good For Todd

Terrance Todd, a 5-10, 170 pound point guard from Neptune H.S. in Neptune, N.J., has committed to Fairfield University.
Todd told the Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com that he picked the Stags after considering Monmouth, Long Island University and others. He took just one official visit this spring, and that was to Fairfield.

"I went up to Fairfield on a visit this past weekend, and they showed me around and I loved the campus and the team," Todd said. "I feel that this is a good opportunity for me, because they need somebody to step in and control the point. They really didn't have a true point guard in the program."
As of Wednesday night, Todd hadn't signed a letter of intent with Fairfield, although he said he planned to ink one sometime this week with the Stag program.
Todd still needs to qualify academically and go through the NCAA Clearinghouse, but said that he expects to make the grade by the end of the school year.
"It's not really the test, it's just my classes," Todd said. "I won't know until the end of the year, but I will definitely make it."
Todd said he holds a 2.2 GPA in the core and has scored a 920 on the SAT. If accurate, a slight improvement in either area would meet NCAA qualifications for freshman eligibility.
Several junior college programs, including Hutchinson (KS), San Jacinto (TX) and Vincennes (IN) had been in contact with Todd this spring should he not make the grade academically.
This past season, Todd played a major role in the Scarlet Flyers' runner-up finish in the New Jersey Tournament of Champions. He averaged 16 points, two rebounds, six assists and two steals per game.
