Trevor Ariza Update

One of the top players in the country plays on the talent rich West Coast high school of Westchester in Los Angeles, California. Westchester has amassed some of the top talent in 2002 and 2003 recruiting classes. Junior Trevor Ariza can be counted as one of the young player to watch for over the next year.
Ariza, 6-7, 190-pounds, last year averaged 12 points and eight rebounds per game for the offensively balanced Westchester program. He played last night in the first round of the City of Palms in Florida. And he was terrific. He scored 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds to help his team win.

He spoke to reporter Dean Gant after the game and told rivalshoops.com that he is currently open in his recruiting process. But the schools he did mention do have a high priority with him right now -- North Carolina, Florida, and Duke.
"I don't have a leader," Ariza said. "I have several schools I am really interested in. So I am wide open right now."
