Travis Talks About Decision

Mike Travis, a 6-9, 210 pound power forward/center from the City College of San Francisco in San Francisco, Calif., talked about his decision to verbal to the Texas Tech basketball program.
"One because of Coach (Bobby) Knight (Texas Tech head coach) and two Brad Duggan (Athletic Director at City College of San Francisco) inspired me on getting better," Travis said. "He helped me pick out a program."

Travis also thought he would add several positives to the Texas Tech program with his individual game. "I will add defense, add defensive skills, rebounding, and boxing out," Travis said.
On a very deep and talented CCSF squad last winter, Travis averaged five points, seven rebounds and two blocks per game.
Travis can defend and rebound. He's a live wire, but he needs to get more shots. Travis can get things done around the basket, it's just that he's not an offensive minded guy.
In addition to being a solid basketball prospect, Travis is also taking care of business in the classroom at CCSF.
Prior to enrolling at CCSF last fall, Travis attended Thurgood Marshall H.S. in San Francisco. If he does make a fall decision, we will let you know.
