Tracy Smith sets press conference

Ready to relieve some of the pressure from the recruiting process, four-star prospect Tracy Smith has scheduled a press conference for Monday at 2:00 Eastern at Mt. Zion Academy in Durham, N.C.
Smith, a 6-foot-7, 225-pound forward, will choose between Oklahoma State, USC and North Carolina State. Odds are extremely strong that Smith will opt to stay in North Carolina for college, but he might not sign a letter-of-intent until the spring.

"There is a chance he might sign, but Tracy will probably just commit," said Mt. Zion Academy head coach Antonio Fozard. "His two leaders are NC State and Oklahoma State, but USC is still in there. Tracy just doesn't think that O.J. Mayo going there is a solid thing, and playing with him is what was attractive to him."
Smith has taken one unofficial visit to Charlotte, but he has not visited any of his three finalists.
Smith, who is the No. 41 ranked prospect in the Rivals150, played very well on the summer circuit after losing close to 60-pounds over the past year.
Tracy Smith scouting report:
After losing approximately 60-pounds between his junior and senior season, Smith is now quick to the basket and quick off the floor. He specializes in facing up post defenders and taking them off the dribble, especially to his left. Primarily a scorer with the ball and has room to improve his defensive play.
