Towson Picks Up Center
Towson has added 6-10, 210 pound center Jacob McCartney to its 2002-03 roster, the CAA school announced earlier.
Jacob McCartney averaged 10.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game as a junior last season for the conference tournament champions. He was named to the all-tournament team.

He shot .560 from the field and .710 from the charity stripe. McCartney also led the team with 45 blocked shots.
“He is a hard worker who wants to get better and he will continue to develop as a player in college," said Chuck Carringer, head coach at Oak Ridge. "He can score from the inside and the outside and he is very skilled for a big man. Another thing that makes him special is his passing ability. He is an excellent passer and he sees the floor very well.”
