Tough Inside Forward Stays Home

Arturo DuBois, a rugged 6-6, 220-pound power forward from Rice H.S. in New York, N.Y., made a verbal commitment to the Manhattan basketball program after attending the Jaspers' Midnight Madness event. This is a tremendous get for the Manhattan program and head coach Bobby Gonzalez since DuBois, a vastly underpublicized forward, is an impressive physical force who gets things done in the paint.
DuBois is very effective banging inside and grabbing loose balls for easy putbacks. He plays hard all the time and is able to battle bigger bodies for rebounds.

At one time in his recruiting process, DuBois had interest from Florida, Miami, Syracuse, Providence, Rutgers, Stanford, Iona, St. Peter's, Manhattan and Stony Brook.
Manhattan made the smart move and sealed him up early in the recruiting process. DuBois played with the powerful Riverside Church program. Last season at Rice, DuBois averaged 14 points and eight rebounds.
