Torin Francis Not Ready Yet

Torin Francis, a highly skilled 6-10, 220-pound forward from Tabor Academy in Massachusetts, is unlikely to announce on Monday, according to his head coach, David First.
"He is not even down to a couple of schools," First said. "So right now it is unlikely he would decide even next week."

The list of schools still being considered are Maryland, Georgetown, North Carolina, Virginia, Georgia Tech, Florida, Boston College, and Notre Dame.
First though cautioned anything is possible. "He has to move forward more," First said. "If he does, it could happen. But right now it does not look like it would happen."
When we spoke to Francis earlier today he would like to get his list down to three schools. "I have to talk it over with my mom and my coach," Francis said. "It could be more than three schools. I don't know yet."
Francis said he should know soon. "I am just thinking about my visits and what they mean," Francis said. "Each school had something good to offer. But I have to make my decision based on how I would fit in at the school and how I would get along with the head coach."
Francis said he has nothing but positive feelings about each visit. "They are all great schools," Francis said. "When I took these visits I did not have one school in mind that I was thinking about committing to. This is why I took the visits. Now I just need some time to discuss it with my mom and coach."
Francis said as of today -- no school has been eliminated. "We have not called any school on that," Francis said. "They are all being considered. This is what I am doing right now. I need to discuss it a little bit more with my mom and my coach."
Francis said there is a possibility that official visits could take place but only after he has cut his list down. "I first want to get it down to a small number," Francis said. "Then if I am not comfortable with making a decision I will go ahead and possibly take some visits."
Francis did tell us he is becoming more and more stressed over the recruiting process. "I am really tired after making all those trips," Francis said. "It mentally wears you down and that physically affects you."
