Torin Francis Ignites Tabor Victory

SMITHFIELD, RHODE ISLAND -- Torin Francis got off to a quick offensive start and Tabor Academy jumped on the MacDuffie School to set the tone of the game early on en route to a 54-43 win at the 2002 National Prep School Invitational.
Francis scored 14 of his team-high 25 points in the first 10 minutes of play to help Tabor take a 20-10 lead. The half ended with Tabor leading, 27-20 after Francis dropped down a jumper with 10 seconds left in the half. Francis also grabbed 14 rebounds to lead his team.

James Parker's three-pointer pushed the lead to 32-20 for Tabor early in the second half. Each time MacDuffie would make a move to challenge Tabor, Francis, Parker or Michael Robinson responded.
Parker had four big three-pointers in the second half to hold off any MacDuffie challenges. Robinson also hit several key free throws in the second half to give Tabor a comfortable margin of victory.
Moustafa El Zavaty had 16 points for the losers while his teammate Ty Sullivan led with 18 points.
