Torey Thomas Commits

Torey Thomas, a 5-foot-10, 165-pound point guard from Trinity Catholic High School in Stamford, Connecticut, will sign a letter of intent to play at Holy Cross.
The native of White Plains, New York, took an official visit to the school's Worcester campus this past weekend, and cast his lot with the Patriot League program, which has appeared in the NCAA tournament three years running.

Thomas also entertained scholarship offers from Hartford and Loyola (MD) at different points in his recruitment. A number of other MAAC, America East, and Patriot League programs had expressed interest in Thomas.
A pure point guard with a penchant for defense, Thomas is in somewhat in the some mold as Crusader point guard Jave Meade, as a steady distributor and reliable on-the-ball defender.
Thomas, along with high major target Dave McClure, spearheaded Trinity Catholic's 26-1 run to the state title, where they defeated Kolbe Cathedral of Bridgeport in the championship.
Torey is fully qualified for NCAA play. He had played on the AAU circuit with the Connecticut Flame, and most recently with the New York Gauchos and the Long Island Panthers.
