Many of the players who were members of the EBO/EA Sports club that captured the adidas Super 64 Tournament in Las Vegas during July are expected to participate, including the outstanding junior twins at Fresno, Calif., San Joaquin Memorial High, 6-foot-10 Brook Lopez and Robin Lopez; and their talented teammate, 6-foot-6 guard/forward Quincy Pondexter.
Brook Lopez, along with Spencer Hawes (6-10, center, Seattle, Wash., Seattle Prep). And 6-9 James Keefe ( 6-9 C/F Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., Santa Margarita High School), rank as the top three prospects in the western Class of 2006.
Others high-profile juniors scheduled to participate include Travon Willis (6-3, Fresno, Calif., Washington Union) and Derrick Jasper (6-5, Paso Robles, Calif., Paso Robles).
Division I college coaches are not allowed to attend this event since it will be held during a "dead period."
