Top Players From Sunday At ABCD/East

TEANECK, N.J. -- Here are some of the players who stood out on the first day of action, July 8, at the adidas ABCD Camp.
#142 Francisco Garcia, Pacers -- Garcia put on a show in the afternoon session, displaying fine passing ability in transition. As night fell, he turned up the heat offensively, pumping in 17 points on three of four shooting from beyond the arc. While he will need to get stronger to finish around the basket and work on his overall defensive game, there is no denying Garcia's offensive gifts at this stage of the game.

#134, Lenny Cooke, Warriors -- Cooke was one of the top scorers after the first day of action at ABCD. He is a tremendous athlete who gets lots of cheapies in transition and also can create his own shot, where he's especially dangerous from mid-range. On top of that, he took on Duke's Dahntay Jones in a pickup game on late Sunday night after his final pool game and more than held his own against the ACC rising junior. Is college in Cooke's future?
#151, Nik Caner-Medley -- Caner-Medley had a solid first day, but he gets special mention here for the dunk of the camp thus far. In the final game of the night on Sunday, Caner-Medley exploded to the rim for a monster slam, wowing those still left in the gym. He's also among the camp leaders in blocked shots, registering three per contest thus far.
