Top performers from UAA: Figueroa, Duval lead the way

NEW YORK -- In the first weekend of the 2016 Under Armour Association, there were several standout performances. Some of them came from prospects with established reputations like Trevon Duval, but there were other such as Savion Flagg that put their names on the map nationally. Rivals.com breaks down the top ten performers of the weekend.

Recruiting wrap: Offers from Florida, Miami, Louisville, USF, VCU and others.

Performance: Nobody had a better individual weekend in New York City than the 6-foot-5 shooting guard. His team may have went 1-3, but Figueroa averaged 26 points per game, which included the performance of the weekend when he went for 42 points on Saturday morning. He’s not going to overwhelm you with athleticism, although he’s adequate, but he’s a very complete scorer. Good start to the travel season for him.

Recruiting wrap: Offers from Maryland, Villanova, Syracuse, Connecticut, Seton Hall, Arizona, California and others.

Performance: The five-star prospect certainly lived up to the hype. He averaged 19.5 points and 3.8 assists through four games and helped We R-1 to a 3-1 start. Duval is an elite athlete at the point guard position in the mold of Russell Westbrook, and made several highlight reel plays. Although still streaky with perimeter stroke, he does appear to have improved in that area as well.

Recruiting wrap: Committed to Seton Hall.

Performance: Kevin Willard and his staff have to feel good about securing a commitment from Cale before he hit the travel circuit this year. The four-star prospect is one of the better scorers in the 2017 class and can legitimately play both guard spots. He averaged 22 points this weekend and helped South Jersey Jazz get off to a 3-1 start.

Recruiting wrap: Offers from Texas A&M, Northwestern, SMU, Rice, Virginia Tech and Purdue.

Performance: Flagg is the prospect that probably helped himself the most. Flagg was no secret to people locally in Houston coming into the weekend, but little was known on the national stage. The 6-foot-6 wing changed that this weekend by averaging 18.2 points per game. He’s got a strong, athletic body and is a very versatile player. He’ll be a stock riser throughout the next couple months.

Recruiting wrap: Offers from Minnesota, New Mexico, Providence, Seton Hall, Cincinnati.

Performance: New Heights finished the first weekend 3-1, and a big part of that was the play of Washington. The 6-foot-1 point guard is exactly what you think of in a New York City point guard. He’s a hard-nosed point that loves to attack the rim and seems to make all the clutch plays. He stuffed the stat sheet this weekend with 13.2 points, 6.2 rebounds and 6 assists per game.

Recruiting wrap: Offers from Indiana, Kansas, Purdue, Michigan State, Michigan, Butler, Notre Dame. Kentucky has also shown interest.

Performance: His weekend was cut short due to an injury, but Wilkes made the best of the time he did have on the court. He averaged 23.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in two games. The versatile 6-foot-8 forward looked like one of the top players in 2017 class.

Recruiting wrap: Offers from Maryland, Florida State, Georgia, Ohio State, Auburn, Florida, West Virginia and more.

Performance: After a slow start by his standards, Walker played the way we’ve come to expect him to. He poured in 23 points in a variety of ways. The 6-foot-5 wing also dished out 15 assists in four games.

Recruiting wrap: Offers from Minnesota, Rutgers, Hofstra and Bowling Green.

Performance: Williams was also a big part in New Heights getting off to such a strong start. The 6-foot-5 wing has a nice stroke from deep, but he’s a crafty scorer going to the basket. He’s a candidate to move into next update of the 2017 Rivals150.

Recruiting wrap: Offers from Kansas State, Memphis, Rutgers, Seton Hall and USF.

Performance: Sidibe is another prospect that really improved his stock. He averaged a double-double through four games with 10.8 points and 12.5 rebounds per game. The stats show exactly what he did all weekend, which was control the paint. He also led the Association in blocks with 11. The question is whether he will attend college as a 2016 or 2017 prospect.

Recruiting wrap: Offers from Texas, Arizona, Baylor, Houston, SMU, N.C. State, UCLA and more.

Performance: One of the highest ranked 2018 players in attendance, Liddell showed exactly why he’s so highly regarded. The 6-foot-6 wing is an effortless scorer with unlimited potential as he fills out his body. He averaged 19.8 points per game and dominated 16U competition.
