Top five for Veal

And then there were five. Toby Veal, a Rivals150 prospect, has a quintet of finalists and a leader heading into the summer. The 6-foot-8 power forward from Savannah (Ga.) Johnson High School gave Rivals.com the scoop.
Auburn, Colorado, Florida State, LSU and UNLV have made the cut heading into the July evaluation period.

"Basically, they have just talked to me the most," Veal simply said on why he narrowed his choices to those five.
Veal has unofficially visited Florida State and Auburn up to this point. The Seminoles have made a strong impression on him and sit atop of his list, he said.
"Every time I go there, they make it feel like my home," Veal said. "Coach (Leonard Hamilton) said I'd get the ball a lot and probably start if I came down there."
Official visits are coming in the fall, particularly to Colorado, LSU and UNLV, before making a decision.
"I'll be talking to my mom about where I'll be going. She's been helping me figure out things the most with all of this. It doesn't matter (about playing close to home)."
Veal may not play the rest of the summer because he re-aggravated a stress fracture in his foot. He plays with Team Truth/Team Georgia Elite.
