A gifted offensive player who prefers to face the basket, Ibekwe showed this past weekend in Texas that he can create his own shot. In particular, he possesses a deadly turnaround jumper and is also a fine passer for his size.
Ibekwe was a major factor in California Team Select's deep run at the Kingwood, as DeAnthony Langston's club bowed out to Ft. Sooy No Limit in the tournament semis on Sunday afternoon.
Ibekwe averaged 19.7 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, three steals and three blocks per game this past season at Carson.
In the classroom, Ebekwe said he owns a 3.1 GPA. He will take the SAT for the first time this weekend, May 4.
Ibekwe plans to play with Rick Isaac's H-Squad program this summer and will attend the adidas ABCD Camp in New Jersey. We will keep you posted on his recruitment throughout the spring and into the summer, so stay tuned!
