Top 50 Player of 2005 Decommits

Joey Cameron, the No. 42 player in the Rivals75 for the class of 2005, has decommitted from his November commitment to Clemson.
The 6-foot-7, 245-pound power forward acknowledged that he might have rushed into his early commitment to the Tigers.

"I'm decommitting from Clemson and I'm going to re-open my recruitment," said Cameron, from Leeds (AL) High School. "It's nothing against Clemson and they are still one of my favorites but I think I rushed into a decision and now I want to make sure it was the best one for me."
"I went there for an unofficial visit and they showed me a lot of attention and overall a great time," Cameron said. "Everything was nice and they were the first school to offer me. I was a little overwhelmed and impressed with everything so I committed.
"But in hindsight I had not given everything enough thought. I never really even discussed it with my mom."
Cameron is now considering Clemson along with several other southern schools.
"I'm looking at Tennessee, Florida, Clemson, UAB, Alabama, North Carolina, Maryland, Auburn and Louisville," Cameron said. "I like those schools but I'm not going to rule anyone out at this point.”
This time around Cameron, who is averaging 24 points, 15 rebounds and 7 blocks, will take his time before settling on a school.
"I'm going to take everything slow because I've got a lot of time before I make my final decision,” he said. “This summer I will take some unofficial visits and then I'll be able to compare the schools."
Cameron is planning on take the ACT for the first time in April.
