Top-40 guard Courtney Ramey sets visit dates
One of the top five guard prospects available from the 2018 class, Courtney Ramey, a one-time Louisville commit prior to the FBI investigation that saw former head coach Rick Pitino lose his job, has begun to settle into another go around within his recruitment. While a school list has not been published, Ramey has set his first four official visit dates.
A 6-foot-3 lead guard that is known for his playmaking abilities and defense prowess, Ramey has heard overtures this fall from the nation’s best. Despite sitting out the next several weeks thanks to a broken hand, programs including UCLA, Ohio State, Texas, Villanova, Oklahoma State, Missouri, Clemson and several others, including Louisville, remain involved.
This weekend, beginning on December 8, the plans are for Ramey and his family to visit Oklahoma State for an official visit, his father told Rivals. On December 27, Ramey will venture to another Big 12 program, this time spending an official visit on the Texas Longhorns basketball program. On February 10, Villanova will get the chance to host Ramey, as will UCLA the following weekend on February 16
Ohio State, Louisville, Missouri and Clemson remain in the running for his final official visit date as other unofficial visits are likely to be taken. A commitment is not imminent as Ramey is likely to proceed with patience during his second go-around within his recruitment.
