Top 100 guard to play with brother

The Rivals.com top 100 for 2009 now has its fifth committed prospect. Forgoing certain high-major options, Chris Brew of Berkeley (Calif.) St. Mary's High School has opted to play with his brother William Brew at University of California at Santa Barbara.
"Santa Barbara is the right place for me," said Brew, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound combo guard. "I like the school and it's a beautiful place. I'll have a chance to play with my brother and get a good education.

"I could of gone to a bigger school, but I've been playing with my brother a long time, and we know how to play together. Also, at Santa Barbara I know I will play right off the bat."
With offers from other mid-major schools in California, Brew was also hearing from Pac-10 schools Oregon, Arizona and Washington.
A dynamic player with the ball, Brew excels at getting to the rim and making plays. A slasher in need of improving his long range jumper, Brew sees himself as more of a shooting guard because of his scoring mentality and slashing ability. Rivals.com also saw a talent who could be molded into a successful point guard with great size and athleticism.
Brew averaged 16.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4 assists per game during his sophomore season.
