1. Fred Van Vleet
School: Rockford (Ill.) Auburn
The Buzz: Vleet, who is a Wichita State commitment, has more than held his own against highly ranked opponents. He is a ball control point guard who will be ready to lead the attack from day one.
2. Marshall Wood
School: Rustburg (Va.) High
The Buzz: Virginia Tech just snagged one of the top sleeper prospects in the country. Wood, who had limited exposure on the travel circuit, is a long athlete with a sweet shooting stroke.
3. Nick Osborne
School: Muncie (Ind.) High
The Buzz: Loyola came up with an absolute steal in Osborne. He will be physically ready from day one and should put up impressive numbers during his career.
4. Melvin Johnson
School: Newark (N.J.) St. Benedict's
The Buzz: Johnson, who just missed landing a spot in the Rivals150, is a talented shooting guard. Miami will be counting on him to put the ball in the basket.
5. Valentine Izundu
School: Rosenberg (Texas) Lamar Consolidated
The Buzz: A 6-foot-10 athlete, Izundu has as much potential as any big man outside of the Rivals150. The Houston basketball program is expecting big things from him during his career.
6. Jordan Burgess
School: Richmond (Va.) Benedictine School
The Buzz: Burgess is the type of talent who can help VCU to continue making deep runs in March. He is a shooting threat both from deep and off the dribble.
7. James Woodard
School: Edmond (Okla.) Memorial
The Buzz: A rangy athlete who is great in transition, Woodard could be the next big wing scorer for Tulsa. In the half court, he can also get hot from behind the arc.
8. Richard Longrus
School: Oakland (Calif.) Bishop O'Dowd
The Buzz: A versatile combo forward, Longrus has been a solidifying presence for any team he has played on. Washington State will expect him to wear a lot of hats for them as well.
9. Carlos Morris
School: Jacksonville (fla.) Arlington Country Day
The Buzz: A prospect who just missed on a spot in the Rivals150, Morris is a talented wing prospect. He is known for his slashing abilities on offense and ranginess on the defensive end. South Carolina is getting a good one.
10. Nkereuwem Okoro
School: Bronx (N.Y.) St. Raymond's
The Buzz: There isn't much flash to Okoro's game, but there is a lot of substance to his game. Iowa State will be counting on him to produce with his physical and crafty game.
