Too Close To Call For Shakur

Right now Mustafa Shakur, the very talented 6-3, 175 pound point guard from Philadelphia's Friends Central High School, doesn't even know when he will have a decision. But he is getting close.
"It's between Arizona and North Carolina State," Shakur said. "I had a good time on both visits. I enjoyed interacting with the players at both schools. So right now I am just weighing the pros and cons."

Shakur, who played in Rick Barrett's Annual Gym Rat Midnight Madness a weekend ago, was named co-MVP, along with junior Joshua Smith, in his squad's 122-106 win. He had 23 points, eight assists and seven rebounds in the contest. (reported by Denny Conroy)
Shakur previously considered Virginia. "It's a tough choice," Shakur said. "I hope to have a decision either next weekend or the weekend after that."
Shakur said he will probably announce it from his home or at the local recreation center. "I got along great with Julius Hodge so I developed a friendship there," Shakur said. "I had played against him in AAU ball when I was in the 10th grade."
