Tony Allen Has Leader

Tony Allen, an ultra athletic 6-4, 200 pound swingman from Wabash Valley College in Mt. Carmel, Ill., has a number of high Division I programs looking at him this spring.
Allen turned in some terrific performances last week at the NJCAA Tournament, helping the Warriors to a fourth place finish in Hutchinson, Kan.

Allen averaged 22.8 points and 10.5 rebounds in four tournament games for Wabash Valley.
JUCO Junction/Rivalshoops.com had a chance to catch up with Allen and Wabash Valley Head Coach Mark Nelson at Hutch, and they each filled us in on the high rising sophomore's recruitment.
Allen said that Oklahoma State leads both Clemson and South Carolina in his current recruiting process. He said he hopes to take some official visits in the coming weeks.
In addition to the above schools, Nelson said that Kansas State, Minnesota, Arizona State, Auburn, Cincinnati, Creighton and Illinois-Chicago have all expressed an interest in Allen.
As reported last week on the site, Kansas is no longer looking at Allen this spring.
Allen averaged 13.5 points and 4.9 rebounds per game this past season at Wabash Valley. He transferred into Wabash in the fall after spending his freshman season at Butler County C.C. in El Dorado, Kan.
Allen said he will need two summer courses in order to graduate, and JUCO Junction/Rivalshoops.com will keep you posted on his situation as the spring signing period approaches.
