Tiny makes big decision

On the final day of the early signing period, one of the biggest names and players on the board decided to end his recruitment. Oak Hill Academy center Keith Gallon is taking his game to the Big 12.
Gallon signed with Oklahoma on Wednesday morning, according to his Houston Hoops AAU coach Marland Lowe.

"He always like Oklahoma from the start and he wanted to wait until the last minute to make sure this was the right thing that he needed to do and if it was the decision that he wanted to make," Lowe said of the No. 31 overall ranked player in the class of 2009. "He has a great relationship with the coaching staff, with coach [Jeff] Capel and coach [Oronde Taliaferro]."
One of the biggest reasons why Gallon picked Oklahoma was his relationship with point guard Tommy Mason-Griffin. The two played together with the Houston Hoops. Now the duo will suit up together
"Tiny has always wanted to play with him. Now they have that chance to play together at Oklahoma," Lowe said. "They have a great relationship. They love playing with each other. They know what each other will be doing. They can get on each other like no one else can. They won't even think about it in a negative way. They take the harsh criticism in a constructive way. They put the work in and after the game is over they are right back to being buddies and being best friends."
Gallon, who also considered Mississippi State, joins an impressive class for the Sooners. He joins Mason-Griffin, Steven Pledger, Kyle Hardrick and Andrew Fitzgerald in the 2009 recruiting class for OU. Oklahoma currently sits at No. 18 overall in the team rankings. The Sooners will move up in tomorrow's release of the top overall team rankings.
