Timothy Drisdom Highlights At Three Stripes

HEMPSTEAD, NEW YORK -- We take a look at the performances of Timothy Drisdom, a solid 6-3, 195-pound point guard from the town of Lynwood, California, at the Three Stripes Classic held this past weekend at Hofstra University.
Drisdom, who averaged 25 points and 10 assists last season, is not an explosive guard like Raymond Felton but he is a solid floor leader who can score points and find an open teammate. Drisdom plays for the LA Rockfish.

LA Rockfish versus Michigan Mustangs: Anthony Roberson is not here for the Mustangs so it takes some juice out of this anticipated matchup. But Drisdom does a nice job. He scores 19 points and helps his team to an easy victory. Drisdom also hits three three-pointers.
LA Rockfish versus Westchester Hawks: Drisdom helps spark another victory for the Rockfish. He scores 15 points and hits a three pointer. His teammate, Donald Wilson, also makes a contribution. Wilson scores 18. The Rockfish hold off a stubborn Westchester team, 65-58.
LA Rockfish versus Tim Thomas Playaz: Elijah Ingram is not aboard this contest for the Playaz. But John Winchester is still a decent matchup sometimes for Drisdom, who spends a lot of time on the free throw line. Drisdom hits on nine free throws, drops down two three-pointers and scores 20 points to lead both teams. The Rockfish win by three points.
LA Rockfish versus New Orleans Jazz: Drisdom hits three three-pointers but doesn't get to the foul line in this contest. However, Drisdom still helps his team defeat the Jazz, 78-64.
LA Rockfish versus Long Island Panthers: In a seminfinal game held on court one at Hofstra University, Drisdom is held to 11 points. The Panthers guards do a good job clogging the three-point line and taking away Drisdom's shot. When Drisdom tries to take it to the basket, he is met by Jason Fraser, 6-9 forward for the Panthers. Fraser is one of the best shotblockers in the country. The Panthers win.
Drisdom could have been easily named to the all tournament team but the nod went to his teammate Donald Wilson. It was very close. In fact, if we could have added one more player, Drisdom would have been the player. He really impressed us.
Drisdom has two major offers on the table from Southern California and Utah. However, some major interest from the East Coast is also intriguing Drisdom.
Georgia Tech and Miami of Florida have both watched Drisdom play several times at the ABCD camp. Both schools have yet to pull the trigger on an offer. Georgia Tech is awaiting on Jarrett Jack, Elijah Ingram, and Deron Williams. But it appears they are interested enough, along with Miami, to be placed among the final four schools for Drisdom.
Drisdom, who says he holds a 3.7 GPA, told us he still has not received his test score back from an early SAT try. He plans on playing at the Big Time tournament in Las Vegas, Nevada and then competing in the Best of Summer event in California.
