Tim Payne Plans Official Visit This Weekend

Tim Payne, a bouncy 6-6, 205 pound forward from Casper J.C. in Casper, Wyo., has planned an official visit this weekend to Manhattan College.
JUCO Junction/Rivalshoops.com recently caught up with Casper Head Coach Ed Toohey, and he informed us that Payne will probably take his lone visit of the fall to the Bronx based school.

In addition to Bobby Gonzalez's Jasper program, Payne is also being looked at this fall by Drake, Colorado, San Diego, Wisconsin Green Bay and Stephen F. Austin.
Of all the schools recruiting the Baltimore native, Manhattan is the one who has put a scholarship offer on the table, Toohey said.
Prior to attending Casper, Payne enjoyed a standout career with St. Frances H.S. in Baltimore, the same school that produced ex-Temple star Mark Karcher.
A springy interior forward, Payne is most effective around the basket, where he uses his quick leaping ability to score on stickbacks around the basket. At Casper, Payne has made some improvements to his perimeter game.
Payne has the ability to knock down the short baseline jumper, and his handle has improved (although it's still far from stellar). However, he gets most of his points around the basket, and it's still the strongest part of his game at this juncture.
JUCO Junction/Rivalshoops.com will keep you posted on Payne's recruitment in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
