Tide adds five-star

As if a recruiting class with four four-star prospects wasn't good enough, Alabama added a five-star prospect as the fifth recruit in its stellar 2011 recruiting class.
6-foot-3 combo guard Trevor Lacey of Huntsville (Ala.) Butler High School announced for Alabama at an afternoon press conference at his school. Lacey chose the Tide over Auburn, Kansas, Kentucky and UConn.

"Alabama just felt like home to me," Lacey said at his press conference. "I made my decision about three days ago. I was just more comfortable with Coach Grant and his staff and am excited about the things they are doing in Tuscaloosa."
The No. 24 ranked prospect in the Rivals150, Lacey joins four-star prospects Levi Randolph, Rodney Cooper, Nick Jacobs and Moussa Gueye in the recruiting class.
Lacey is a physical athlete with a high basketball IQ and smooth shooting stroke. Alabama has a glaring need for shooters, and Lacey, Randolph and Cooper are all known for their shooting ability.
Prior to the signing of Lacey, Alabama had the No. 12 ranked recruiting class in the country. With Lacey in the fold, the class could move to as high as No. 6 in the national recruiting rankings.
