Three STM Players Make Decision

While high profile recruit Quincy Douby is still teetering on the edge of his oral commitment to Rutgers, three other St. Thomas More players have pledged to Division I programs this fall.
As previously reported on this site, 6-2 shooting/combo guard Loren Stokes of Buffalo, N.Y. signed with Hofstra.

Stokes, who is working on boosting his test score in line with NCAA standards, scored 20 points on Wednesday as the Chancellors defeated Harvard J.V. in their season opener.
Stokes took fall trips to St. Bonaventure and Hofstra before casting his lot with Tom Pecora's Pride program.
Two other St. Thomas More players, Donald Brown and Van Crafton, are also headed for the Division I ranks next fall.
Brown, a 6-6, 195 pound combo forward from Central Islip, N.Y., has committed to Bucknell. Because Bucknell is a member of the Patriot League and does not offer full athletic scholarships, Brown won't sign a national letter of intent with the Bison this fall.
Coach Quinn, whose son Matt also plays on the basketball team at Bucknell, confirmed Brown's commitment to the Bison. An excellent student, Brown is a full academic qualifier who has posted an 1100 on the SAT.
Crafton, a heady 6-1, 185 pound point guard from Hanover, Ind., has signed with Quinnipiac. Like Brown, he is also a full academic qualifier.
Crafton is expected to start at the point slot for the Chancellors this winter. According to Coach Quinn, he made some big plays on Wednesday in the Chancellors' season opening victory over Harvard J.V.
Rivalshoops.com will be on hand this weekend at the War on the Shore, where we plan on catching St. Thomas More in action twice. The Chancellors will open up there on Saturday night against Hargrave Military Academy.
