Three-star PG commits to Missouri

Three-star point guard Blake Harris, one of the top playmakers and passers in all of the 2017 class, made short work of his second crack at the recruiting process. After signing with Washington in the fall, the Rivals150 guard reopened his recruitment following the dismissal of Lorenzo Romar. Sunday, Harris verbally committed to Missouri.

Harris set up official visits to Michigan State, UConn, Rutgers and Missouri, but his first and only trip to Columbia was all that was needed for Harris to commit to the new staff. Harris will join former UW signee Michael Porter Jr. at Mizzou and is the perfect complement to the top-ranked player in the 2017 Rivals150. Harris can create his own shot and also set the table for the rest of his team. He has a chance to step in and immediately make an impact for Cuonzo Martin’s program.

"It was the best school for me," Harris said. "Great coach, great players, and they just see me being a great point guard."

Harris' commitment gives Missouri three pledges for 2017, along with Porter and CJ Roberts.

The Tigers will remain in pursuit of other options this spring as they could zero in on Mark Smith and Illinois signee Jeremiah Tilmon, who has requested a release.
