Three standing out to Cale

For a four-star prospect, Middletown (Del.) Appoquinimink shooting guard
Myles Cale has managed to fly under the radar on the national scene in

his recruitment.
A 6-foot-3 guard that was one of the top scorers in the Under Armour Association
16-under division, Cale did manage to draw the attention of some of the top
programs on the East Coast. To date, La Salle, Seton Hall, Miami,
Temple, James Madison, Maryland, Xavier and Delaware have been
involved in his recruitment. Three of those schools have been going above and
beyond early on in the process.
"Seton Hall, La Salle and Xavier, those are the three probably recruiting me the
hardest right now," Cale said. "All the schools are pretty even though. I don't
have any favorites yet."
Xavier recently hosted Cale on an unofficial visit.
"I liked it a lot because everything on their campus was real tight and it was
really nice. I didn't really get to talk to the head coach much yet, but Coach
Mike [Pegues] is who I talk to and I like him a lot. He's really nice. He calls
me a lot. I like their program a lot, their staff, their arena and everything
else."
The 75th-ranked prospect in the 2017 class also made his way up to Seton Hall
recently as well.
"I got a chance to play with them and scrimmage with the team. I got a really
good feeling with them too. I like them a lot."
La Salle was the first school to extend an offer to Cale and remain in constant
contact.
"I like La Salle's program a lot. Coach G, he talks to me a lot. He actually
just called me a few minutes ago wanting to talk real quick. I like him a lot."
On the other side of town in Philadelphia, Temple is also cranking up the heat
in recruiting Cale.
"I like them because they aren't too far from home and they have a lot of
history. I like where they are located right in the city."
Although his recruitment isn't as heavy as many would expect, that could
certainly change over the next year. Good news for schools that come in later is
that he won't be deciding any time soon.
"I'll probably commit sometime around this time next year."
