Three schools emerge for Golden

A potential five-star prospect in the 2010 class, Trae Golden impressed plenty of coaching staffs with his play in July. As the 6-foot-1, 190-pound point guard from Powder Springs (Ga.) Mceachern High School begins to form his school list, three schools have risen to the top.
"After the adidas tournament in Cincinnati things really picked up," said Golden. "Just last week we had an open gym and Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia and Ohio State were all there to show their interest."

Golden presently has offers from Georgia, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Kentucky, Tennessee and Clemson, and Ohio State is on the verge of offering according to Golden.
"Three schools standout right now," Golden said. "Kentucky has a really cool coaching staff. My dad graduated from Ohio State so there is a lot of interest there. I also like Georgia. My good friend Trey (Thompkins) is going there and they are recruiting a lot of players off the Atlanta Celtics."
This past weekend Golden had plans to attend one of Tennessee's pre-season practices in preparation for an overseas trip.
A physical point guard, Golden is a dynamic scorer and skilled overall player.
