Three programs add key commits

There was a flurry of activity on Wednesday night as a number of programs picked up verbal commitments from players in the class of 2007.
Paul Williams, a 6-foot-3 shooter from Detroit, verbally committed to Dayton. The three-star guard from Renaissance High School picked the Atlantic 10 school over interest from Michigan and Cincinnati.

Williams helped his AAU team, The Family, reach the finals at the Nike Peach Jam with his key shooting and gritty play throughout the tournament. Williams gives the Flyers a perimeter threat to go along with Ohio wing Chris Johnson, who committed early in the summer, and local big man Josh Benson.
Josh Duinker, a 6-foot-9, 210-pound big man from Australia's St. Pius College in Hornsby, committed to the Richmond Spiders, according to a source close to the situation.
Duniker was also being recruited by Washington State, St. Mary's, SMU and Wichita State. The skilled big man has a good touch around the basket and showed off an ability to shoot the three ball, according to the source.
Ohio guard Anthony Hitchens committed to Akron on Wednesday night. The 5-foot-11 point guard from Chillicothe High School is the first player to commit to the Mid-American school in 2007.
Hitchens also considered offers from Butler, Duquesne, Kent State, Ohio, Toledo and Western Michigan.
