Three leaders for Buycks

Dwight Buycks, the 6-foot-2, 180-pound shooting guard from Bayview High School in Milwaukee, Wis., has a solid number of mid-to-high major programs involved in his recruitment. The three-star prospect has several scholarship offers on the table, but is hoping that more schools step-up with offers in the immediate future.
"Wisconsin-Green Bay and Bradley are the two schools that have offered," said Buycks. "Iowa State will probably be the next school to offer. Illinois State, Loyola-Chicago, and Northern Iowa are also in the mix. I actually took a visit to Wisconsin-Green Bay and had an outstanding time.

"I have been to Michigan State as well," he added. "Iowa State, Bradley and Illinois State are the favorites. Those are the schools that I am very interested in at this time."
Buycks, who is hoping for more scholarship offers in the near future, is planning to use all five official visits in the fall. However, before that takes place, he still has some business to take care of this summer.
With the July evaluation period fast approaching, Buycks knows that he will have to be at his best when the games count the most.
"I will take all five visits," he said. "Illinois State is one of the schools that I will visit for sure. I am definitely going to visit Illinois State. Before any of those visits happen, I want to end my summer on a good note. I just finished up taking the ACT, so I want to focus all of my attention on the rest of the summer, especially July.
"I am going to work harder than ever with July coming up," he added. "I will be attending the Kentucky Hoop Fest and I will also be traveling to Las Vegas. I want to be at my very best when the coaches are out in July."
