Three Leaders Emerge For Clinch

Lewis Clinch, the 6-foot-3, 180-pound shooting guard from Crisp Co. High School in Cordele, Ga., has seen three schools emerge as the teams to beat in his recruitment. The No. 36 ranked player in the class of 2005 has scheduled official visits to each of the three schools on his list and, as it stands right now, it appears that the dynamic shooting guard is ready to close his list and move forward with his recruitment.
“Georgia, Georgia Tech and Wake Forest are the schools that I am seriously considering,” Clinch said. “I will visit Georgia Tech during the weekend of August 27, Wake Forest during the weekend of September 10 and Georgia during the weekend if September 17. I plan to keep all of my options open, but those are the three schools that I really like.”

Clinch had previously indicated that he would take as many as four official visits, but there is no doubt that it appears those plans have changed.
While the No. 9 ranked shooting guard in the class of 2005 plans to keep all of his options open, its looking like the Georgia native will attend Georgia Tech, Georgia or Wake Forest.
“Florida and Kansas are two schools that I like very, very much,” Clinch said. “I haven’t eliminated any schools yet, but playing close to home will be an important factor when I make my final decision.
"I plan to contact coaches from both schools and talk to them about coming to my house for an in-home visit," he added. "There is a chance that I might take an additional visit, but that’s something I am not thinking about right now.”
