Three Finalists Set to Visit Brockman

The clock is ticking for Jon Brockman. The 6-foot-7, 230-pound power forward from Snohomish (Wash.) High School takes his recruitment to the next level weekend as the three schools he is considering all come to his home for their respective recruiting pitches.
Brockman is coming down the home stretch this week as each of the schools still on his list -- Duke, UCLA and Washington -- will make in-home visits, pitching their program to the No. 31 ranked player in the nation. Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski will be in Snohomish on Thursday. Brockman will make the cross-country flight on Sept. 16 for an official visit to Durham.

Following Duke’s visit, UCLA head coach Ben Howland will stop by on Friday and Washington head coach Lorenzo Romar will stop by on Monday.
“I’ve talked to all of the coaches that are recruiting me a lot over the phone so I’m looking forward to having them here to talk to them in person,” Brockman said.
The Huskies recently hosted Brockman over the Labor Day Weekend for an unofficial visit. The Pac-10 school could have him again.
“I might take an official visit there but I’m still working on that right now,” Brockman said.
Brockman said the in-home visits won’t have too big of an affect on his decision. Only time will tell.
“I like all three schools and I know it’s going to be tough to pick just one. I’m not sure what I’m going to do,” Brockman said. “They all have good stuff about each school.”
“I’m just enjoying the process piece by piece,” he said.
