Three at the top for Barraza

Louis Barraza is still waiting for his first scholarship offer. The 6-foot-4, 180-pound combo guard from Trevor Browne High School in Phoenix, Ariz., has plenty of schools involved in his recruitment, but none have stepped up to the plate with an offer just yet.
"Louis has been playing pretty good this spring," said Trevor Browne head coach Paul Long. "He has been to Las Vegas twice and was in Houston for the Kingwood Classic. Louis has been playing with the Arizona Magic White Team and the Arizona Magic Blue team. He is the main guy on that team.

"Louis has been playing a lot on the perimeter because of a sprained ankle," he added. "He is the type of player that loves to play above the rim, but with a sprained ankle and sore knee, Louis just doesn't have the strength to do that yet."
As far as his recruitment goes, not much has changed with the 6-foot-4, 180-pound combo guard. While quite a few schools are very interested in Barraza, none has stepped up with scholarship offers.
Barraza is hoping to be completely healthy by the time the July evaluation period rolls around. The Arizona native knows that he'll have to be at his very best in July.
"I've tried to get Louis some rest, but it seems like he has a tournament every weekend," said Long. "I hope to get him some rest now because I want him to be healthy in July. Oregon, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming and Navy are the schools most interested in Louis. We have a connection to Navy because of one my players from last year goes to Navy.
"I would say that Montana, Oregon and Wyoming are the top three schools on his list," he added. "Those three schools have definitely shown the most interest in Louis."
