Thomas Impressed with Arkansas

Charles Thomas, the No. 15 power forward and No. 56 player in the Rivals150, will announce his college choice at 4:00 central Wednesday afternoon. Thomas, from Callaway High School in Jackson, Mississippi, told RivalsHoops.com that he will be choosing between Florida State, Arkansas, and Ole Miss.
Florida State has been the leader for the 6-foot-7, 230-pound Thomas, but that might have changed after an impressive visit to Arkansas last weekend.

“It went great. It was good from when I got there to when I left.” said Thomas. “It was amazing how people knew my name as soon as I got there. When I got there it was wild. When I was at the restaurant, people were asking me for my autograph, and all the waitresses had ‘We Want Charles’ on the back of their t-shirts. Walking to the football game, people were pulling me aside saying that they really needed me to come there and play basketball. And then at breakfast, one of the waiters knew my whole background, my high school and AAU team and everything.”
Arkansas preparation for Thomas’ visit has left him with a difficult decision.
“Before Arkansas, my decision was easy,” Thomas said. “Now it is not that easy. But I want to get this over with, so I can focus on my books number one and number two, focus on winning a state title.”
The excited Thomas had these last words about his three schools.
“You have two great coaches in Coach Heath and Coach Hamilton. Really, I feel that both programs are great choices. Coach Evans is a great coach also, and you can’t go wrong when you go with your home school.”
