Thomas Has Host of In-Homes This Week

The hurricane season has bypassed Florida forward Adrian Thomas -- at least for now. With Mother Nature finally taking a break on South Florida (weather reports say Hurricane Ivan will bypass the Miami area), the three-star prospect will now look to get out of his home and onto a plane for his official visits. In the meantime, college coaches have made their way to his home for in-home visits.
Thomas, the 6-foot-6, 215-pound forward from Flangan High School, has had a chance to think and read up on the schools he is considering to attend during the time away from school.

“I’ve had more time to learn more about all of the schools,” Thomas says. “I went on the Internet and read all of the schools’ websites; just the checking out the different buildings and the teams, of course.”
Cincinnati head coach Bob Huggins was in the Thomas home for an in-home visit on Sunday afternoon. Thomas spoke highly of the visit.
“It was a pretty good meeting,” Thomas said. “Bob Huggins is a nice guy. We talked a lot about their program and Kenyon Martin. We talked about him a lot. He talked about their practices and how to get into shape and losing body fat. They love to hit the weights up there. My mom liked him, too. They treated us real good.”
Tennessee-Chattanooga will make an in-home visit on Monday. UCLA and Pittsburgh will also travel to South Florida this week for in-home visits. Georgia Tech will make an in-home visit on September 22, two days before Thomas makes his rescheduled official visit.
Thomas didn’t name a leader but he did say Miami, where he could very well visit this weekend, is very close with Georgia Tech.
“It could be 50/50 but I gotta see Miami,” Thomas said. “It could be but it might not, you know? I just don’t know right now.”
