Thomas Flight to Atlanta: Cancelled

Hurricane Frances is putting the state of Florida on a state of alert. With that, the sports world in the Sunshine State has a dark cloud -- literally -- hanging over the plans of several activities this weekend, including several football games. For Adrian Thomas, he won’t be making his first official visit to Georgia Tech.
The 6-foot-7, 215-pound prospect from Pembroke, Fla. will be kept at bay because of the storm. When Rivals.com spoke with the nation’s No. 119 rated player on Wednesday night, he wasn’t sure if he was going to make it.

“I’m watching the Weather Channel every chance I get,” he said. “If we can make it up there, I’m coming.”
Unfortunately, the hurricane is heading straight for his hometown, thus keeping him away from Atlanta, at least for this weekend.
“They cancelled all of the flights down here so I got no chance of going now,” Thomas said.
So where does this put his trip with the Yellow Jackets?
“We are going to call back later tonight and talk to Coach (Paul) Hewitt. I think we’ll reschedule for a couple weeks down the road but I’m not really sure yet,” Thomas said.
“This just puts everything on pause.”
Thomas is also considering UCLA and Pittsburgh.
